JUST will remain closed for an indefinite time

Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has been closed until further notice due to the safety of the students in view of the prevailing situation in the country. At the same time boys have been directed to vacate the halls of residence by 4 pm and girls by 10 am tomorrow.

This decision was taken at the 102nd emergency meeting of the Board of Regents, the highest policy-making forum of JUST, in the Conference Room of the Administrative Building of the university on Wednesday in the morning. Many of the Board of Regents Members participated virtually and in person.

The JUST Vice Chancellor and President of the Board of Regents Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said that although the law and order situation of Jashore University of Science and Technology is normal, in view of the situation arising in the country, the decision to close the university has been taken until further orders are given for the safety of the students. At the same time, it has been decided to vacate the boys' hall by 4 pm and the girls' hall by 10 am tomorrow.
